Well done to our first and second year girls yesterday who came up against a great challenge playing Colaiste Fionnchua Mitchelstown.

Last week in the Coláiste we celebrated numeracy week. Students participated in various activities and competitions. We hope that all enjoyed the week.

The U19s made it back-to-back victories in the opening two rounds of this year’s league campaign.

Our U16 Boys Basketball team have been in action over the last 2 weeks playing Ballingeary and Colaiste Ghobnatan.

Last week, students and staff participated in Irelands first ever Computer Science week. Various competitions and events were running throughout the week.

Clara competed in the All Ireland Cross Country Relays in the National Sports Campus, Dublin on Sunday.

First year boys participated in a football blitz last week at Mallow Gaa complex. It was great day out and enjoyed by all.

Billy (TY) took part in the National Ploughing Championships on Thursday 22 of September after Months of planning, practicising and modifications made to the Plough in preparation to represent his County at National Level.

Calum Davern competed recently in the All-Ireland Interprovincial Show jumping finals in Northern Ireland at Necarne Castle Irvine, Co.Fermanagh.

Our 3rd year Art students took part in a felting workshop recently. They finished the workshop with fantastic pieces created. Well done to everyone involved.

A great 1st day out for our U16.5 camogie team at the Munster 7s blitz in Mallow GAA complex.

During one of the 1st year tasters, students created cubist portraits that explore line, shape, colour and pattern. Well done to everyone involved. They look fantastic.

Yesterday the whole school community, together with Fr. Baker, celebrated the beginning of our new school year with a whole school prayer service in St. Mary's Church in Buttevant, where the choir sang beautifully and many students from each year participated in their own way.

A TY group are planning to sell shorts and socks next Tuesday 27th and Thursday 29th at small break times.

Transition years helping the new first years settle into the Colaiste as part of our induction programme. Here the first years are playing some games with their buddies.

We would like to congratulate Liadh Boag on her achievements over the summer. She won a Gold Medal in 100metre butterfly, division 2 making her the fastest 13yr old girl in the whole island of Ireland. She also achieved a bronze medal in the 200 metre All Ireland relay Division 2.
