Cardiac Screening Day 2023
Coláiste Mhuire, Buttevant are delighted to host heart screening days in the school on the 25th and 27th of October 2023, in association with Advanced Medical Services. Cardiac Screening will be available to anyone over the age of 12.
AMS is Ireland’s leading mobile Cardiac Screening company. They perform cardiac screening in schools & sports clubs nationwide, ultimately aimed at reducing the incidents of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS). Approx 2 young people (under 35) die each week in Ireland from SADS. Research has shown that cardiac screening can significantly reduce the incidents of SADS. HOW TO BOOK IN FOR THIS SERVICE:
1. Go to www.ameds.ie
2. Click on Online booking or click https://bookings.ameds.ie/booking/from-code?code=cmb
3. Enter clinic code: CMB
4. Complete registration
FEE: The fee for Cardiac Screening is at a discounted rate of €79.00pp. People with Laya Health insurance can avail of this service for free (current individual membership number must be presented). People with other private health insurance may be able to claim a portion of the fee back.
