Friendship and Stand Up Week

We celebrated Friendship and Stand Up Week in school last week. Students were encouraged to show kindness and friendship throughout the week. Communication games were played in SPHE and Religion classes.

We had a non-uniform day today to coincide with the BelongTo national non-uniform day. Each year group was assigned a colour of the LGBTI+ flag to show our support to the LBTI+ community. Money raised will be split between ShoutOut and BelongTo. ShoutOut visited the school last year to give talks to students about how we can become allies and support the queer community. Both organisations do excellent work in breaking down stigmas and educating people about the LGBTI+ community.
