Certified Irish Angus Schools Competition
Four of our TY students recently took part in the finals of the Certified Irish Angus Beef schools competition. This year the interviews were held online due to covid restrictions. The boys worked very well during lockdown holding Teams calls discussing possible interview questions. They communicated very well with the interview team and they were commended on their presentation. The boys were asked to discuss suckler beef farming, certified and uncertified beef, genomics and issues in agriculture in the future to mention but a few.
Now they must wait to see if they have made it to the final five teams in Ireland which will see them win five Irish Angus Calves.
Well done Joe, Sean, Timmy, Hughie and many thanks to Mr Curtin for all his support.
