Congratulations to Chloe who won a nationwide TY campaign to promote DLD (developmental language disorder) by creating a slideshow that will be used to educate students about DLD during the 2024 awareness campaign. Well done Chloe.

Huge congrats to our TY students Becky, Emma and Kelly who have advanced to the next stage of the Certified Irish Angus Beef Schools Competition.

We had the time of our lives in Paris during the week for the TY school tour. Some of our highlights were the Eiffel Tower, River Seine cruise, Musee les Invalides, Stade de France and, of course, Disneyland. Well done to our TYs whose behaviour was exemplar. Memories for a lifetime were made!👏🏻

Some of our TY students were busy on their first day back after midterm completing the LGFA Go Games Refereeing and Coaching Course ⚽️. The girls will now be able to officiate underage blitzes for their local clubs and in the coming months will be planning a blitz for local primary schools! Great stuff girls 👊.

TY Mini-Company students attended a very enjoyable Innovation workshop in the Charleville Park Hotel yesterday.

Our 1st Years enjoyed a fantastic day yesterday in Ballyhass Adventure Centre with their Transition Year Buddies as part of our ‘Buddy system’.

Our TY's enjoyed an action packed day at Ballyhass Lakes yesterday for team bonding/building activities. They took part in everything from zip lining, jumping the leap of faith, to swimming in the cold waters of the lakes. We are looking forward to our trip next week with our first year buddies.

TY Murder Mystery!!! This week is #EUCodeWeek so our TY students participated in a Computational Thinking channel. They put their problem solving skills to good use and completed a Murder Mystery! A fun afternoon of critical thinking was enjoyed by all.

Yesterday Juliette from Breast Cancer Ireland gave a breast cancer awareness talk to our TY students. There were separate talks for males and females covering all of the information relevant to them.

Our TY STEM class took part in their final class of their first module today. Today's challenge was to build a balloon powered car.

TY’s are undertaking a national project called "The Big Idea" in their Social Action class. This project involves students finding a solution to a social issue that is affecting our local and national communities. Part of this project is learning about creativity and how best to develop their creative ideas.

TY students enjoyed a goal setting workshop this week with Stephen Kiernan. They looked at powerful examples that compel them to believe in themselves and their ability to grow and succeed if they just try.

Our T.Y students enjoyed an incredible day today battling the waves on their surfing trip to Ballybunion Beach.

It was fantastic to welcome back Charlotte from Cliona's Foundation this week, to speak to our TYs about the Camino for Cliona's project.

The TYB STEM class took part in the marshmallow challenge today.

Transition Year students took part in a Foróige NFTE workshop with Cork’s programme Co-Ordinator Laura O’Connell this week.

The TY class of 23/24 started off their busy year by helping their Buddies in First year ease into second level education in the Coláiste with a fantastic afternoon of fun activities organised by the PE department.

We welcomed our TY group of students back to school last week. We wish them all the best of luck as they begin a wonderful programme jam packed with fantastic modules, trips, workshops, competitions and much much more!

The TY trip to ‘Eclipse Ireland Kenmare’ was an extremely special one for the group as it marked the end of what was a fantastic year.
