Drama in the Classroom

Second year groups were involved in a drama workshop under the guidance of Creative Director, Tadhg Hickey. Tadhg is a well known actor and writer from Cork. Students worked together to create their own drama scene focusing on the elements of stage craft. Well done to all involved who participated so willingly.

Numeracy Week 2020

Many thanks to all the students who participated so greatly in our recent Numeracy Week 2020. We had various competitions throughout the week and congratulations to those who were our winners. The 1st Years participated in the Maths Week Mega Quiz which was held live on Zoom. It was organised by Maths Week Ireland and over 300 schools were involved in the live quiz. We hope that you all enjoyed your week and learned that Numeracy is intertwined into our daily lives.

On Going Improvements

This week in the Colaiste saw all our students return to classes and the further development of our already wonderful campus. Construction work continued on the parent-student drop off area which on completion will provide twenty car parking space and a new vehicular entrance for parents.

Information on New School Bus Service to Colaiste

Over the past 3 to 4 years the number of students and families who wish to avail of the school bus service to Coláiste Mhuire, Buttevant has increased significantly. The increase in applications to Bus Eireann means that many families who would like to avail of a bus service are refused places due to the limited number of places available through the Bus Eireann Service.
