On the 22nd of September, we visited Aurora Charity shop in Mallow and met Gillian and Helen, volunteers and the manager Deano.

Our Debating Team were fine tuning their skills after school.

Our u15 ⚽️ team won Monday in a close game between ourselves and Charleville CBS (2-1) 🟡🔵 Well done boys!

Ahead of the CAO opening on November 6th, 70 of our Leaving Certs attended a Careers Exhibition yesterday in Rochestown Park Hotel liaising with prospective colleges and apprenticeship programmes.

Huge thanks to Shane McAuliffe commercial pig farmer, suckler beef farmer and lecturer at MTU who gave a very informative talk to our 6th Ag Science class this week.

As part of Numeracy Week, 2 of our 2nd years, Clodagh and Clara visited @baltydaniel_ns with their Maths Teacher to introduce some 1st year topics to bridge the gap before Secondary School.

Last Friday, Stevie visited the train station in Mallow and met station manager Stephen Mangan and train driver Adrian. He got to interview Adrian about his job and got to see the control room as well as taking the train to Cork. A big thanks to the fabulous staff in Mallow train station, especially Stephen & Adrian.

#EUCodeWeek has come to an end for 2023 here in the Coláiste. Students participated in Binary Bingo, Murder Mysteries, Treasure Hunts, Python activities and a poster competition.

Well done to all our U17 boys soccer team against CBS Mitchelstown today. They put in an enormous effort and narrowly missed out on victory, losing 4 - 3 in extra time. The boys will be back in action again in a few weeks for the first round of the County Cup.

Our Junior Ladies Footballers yesterday started their Munster campaign yesterday away to Coláiste an Chroí Naofa Carrignavar. Playing through wet and windy conditions, the girls emerged victorious on a score line of 6-7 to 2-2. Hopefully the start of a successful year

We played U16 & U19 Basketball against Botherbue Comprehensive this week but unfortunately Boherbue were too strong this time. 🟡🔵

3rd Year Science Students out & about in the Colaiste! They were identifying various living organisms & using their ecology equipment 🐝🪱🐞🐜🌳🌿

Our u17 hurlers were beaten today by a very strong St. Paul’s Community College Waterford. Hard luck lads.

Our Senior Hurlers had a great game against Hazelwood College yesterday in preparation for their Munster Championship. 🔵🟡

1A Science class were putting their theory into practice in the lab early this Monday morning. They have now completed two investigations in Science and are well on their way to understanding and implementing the scientific method.

1st Years finishing their 4 week taster in Wood Technology! 🔨🪚 Our taster program gives students the opportunity to try every subject before making their Junior Certificate subject choices.
