Last week our school participated in Stand Up week and great fun was had by all. We had a few of our students involved in the Ally Group working hard to ensure we made the most of the week.

💛💙 Well done to our Colaiste swimmers Taylor, Joshua and Liadh who competed at the Munster Senior Schools Swimming Championship in UL at the weekend!

We paid a visit to Mallow library recently and spoke to Diane Lee, one of the librarians, about the work she does and we learned about how important the library is to the community. We visited their newly refurbished sensory room and listened to some of their speakers who come every week to give talks.

Before midterm we had a visit from guest speaker , Dr. Claire Heffernan, Senior Solid State Crystallisation Scientist with Astra Zeneca, who spoke to senior students about "science in industry and career options in science".

Huge congrats to four of our finest who recieved Pope John Paul II Awards on October 19th. Sarah Salvin and Isi Nnaemke both recieved Papal Awards, and Saidhbh Keating and Aisling Foley recieved Gold Awards.

Congratulations to Mr. Feury on winning 2 County Titles in 7 days! Firstly with Aghabullogue in hurling and then with Cill Na Martra in football last weekend.

The first edition of ‘The Coláiste Chronicle’ was released yesterday and I’m sure like us you will be massively impressed. Huge effort from everyone involved - too many to list👏👏👏👏. We are already looking forward to the next edition. #corketb

On the 22nd of September, we visited Aurora Charity shop in Mallow and met Gillian and Helen, volunteers and the manager Deano.

Our Debating Team were fine tuning their skills after school.

Our u15 ⚽️ team won Monday in a close game between ourselves and Charleville CBS (2-1) 🟡🔵 Well done boys!

Ahead of the CAO opening on November 6th, 70 of our Leaving Certs attended a Careers Exhibition yesterday in Rochestown Park Hotel liaising with prospective colleges and apprenticeship programmes.

Huge thanks to Shane McAuliffe commercial pig farmer, suckler beef farmer and lecturer at MTU who gave a very informative talk to our 6th Ag Science class this week.

Congratulations to our fantastic 3rd year class of 2023 on their amazing Junior Certificate Reults. Well deserved! 👏👏👏

As part of Numeracy Week, 2 of our 2nd years, Clodagh and Clara visited @baltydaniel_ns with their Maths Teacher to introduce some 1st year topics to bridge the gap before Secondary School.

Last Friday, Stevie visited the train station in Mallow and met station manager Stephen Mangan and train driver Adrian. He got to interview Adrian about his job and got to see the control room as well as taking the train to Cork. A big thanks to the fabulous staff in Mallow train station, especially Stephen & Adrian.

#EUCodeWeek has come to an end for 2023 here in the Coláiste. Students participated in Binary Bingo, Murder Mysteries, Treasure Hunts, Python activities and a poster competition.
