TY students enjoyed a goal setting workshop this week with Stephen Kiernan. They looked at powerful examples that compel them to believe in themselves and their ability to grow and succeed if they just try.

Our T.Y students enjoyed an incredible day today battling the waves on their surfing trip to Ballybunion Beach.

It was fantastic to welcome back Charlotte from Cliona's Foundation this week, to speak to our TYs about the Camino for Cliona's project.

The TYB STEM class took part in the marshmallow challenge today.

Transition Year students took part in a Foróige NFTE workshop with Cork’s programme Co-Ordinator Laura O’Connell this week.

The TY class of 23/24 started off their busy year by helping their Buddies in First year ease into second level education in the Coláiste with a fantastic afternoon of fun activities organised by the PE department.

We welcomed our TY group of students back to school last week. We wish them all the best of luck as they begin a wonderful programme jam packed with fantastic modules, trips, workshops, competitions and much much more!

The TY trip to ‘Eclipse Ireland Kenmare’ was an extremely special one for the group as it marked the end of what was a fantastic year.

Fionnbar Walsh, father of inspirational teenager Donal Walsh from Tralee spoke to our TY students Monday. It is ten years since Donal passed away following his battle with cancer.

Some of our TY students have completed the 'GAA Emerging Award' in the last 2 weeks. This will enable them to work with some of the underage teams in the local clubs.

This week we held a RSA event to teach our TY students about road safety. Our students learnt about road safety, watched accident videos and interviews of people involved in accidents. Virtual Reality Headsets gave students a real life feel of accidents.

The TY students had a great Vocal Workshop with Dr Trish Rooney this week. Trish is a Vocal Coach and Lecturer in Voice in CIT’s Cork School of Music and is director in the Academy of Popular Music Cork.

Our TY students enjoyed a fantastic bonding day on the Limerick Kerry greenway during the week. Their fitness levels were tested as they cycled approx 50k from Barnagh (Templeglantine) to Listowel and back to Abbeyfeale.

Well Done to our TY students, Becky Walsh, Tara Dunlea, Kate Cremin, Aishling Crowley and Aisling Walsh who took part in Foróige's Regional Seminar.

Huge well done to our three TY students who took part in the Irish Angus Beef Schools competition in Croke Park today.

Our first year students teamed up today with their TY buddies as they took part in an Easter Egg Hunt organised by 4D base class.

Best of luck to three of our T.Y. students Reuben, Aidan and Billy who take part in the All Ireland Competition 'Certified Irish Angus Schools Competition' on Friday next in Croke Park where they are in with a chance of winning 5 Irish Angus calves .

Our TY students really enjoyed learning about the history, traditions and style of bodhrán playing during their session with Robbie from the Bodhrán Buzz.

VistaMilk SFI Research Centre - Moorepark Fermoy. Two of our TY students Sean O Callaghan and Sean Williams got the opportunity to take park in the transition year work experience programme last week in Moorepark, Fermoy.

Today the TY students had the opportunity to hear the remarkable story of Ms. Michelle Herbert who suffered a cardiac arrest while playing a camogie match in 2016. Her life was saved by the quick thinking actions of her opponent Ms. Sarah Jane Curtin and several others present at the match.
