Read MoreOn the 28th January 2020, Kelly, Cathal and Gabriella (Transition Year Students) took part in the preliminary round of the All Ireland Linguistic Olympiad or AILO. The AILO is a contest in which secondary school students develop strategies for solving problems in interesting languages from around the globe most of which are not known. They used their skills to solve puzzles such as deciphering Idalion tablet (see picture) and translating Kolyma Yukagir from the Far East of Russia.

They participated in a variety of activities throughout the day such as walking debates, mock elections and conducted a SWOT analysis.
The students were invested in the programme and enjoyed themselves throughout the day.
The Parents Plus Adolescents Programme considers how parents can connect with and build good relationships with their teenage children (aged 11-17), while also being firm and influential in their lives.
